The 2020 Porterhaus Print Exchange
The 2020 Porterhaus Print Exchange invited artists from across the Kansas City metro area to submit an edition of 20 original prints. The only creative guidance was the one-word theme: Intersections. One print was collected from each of the artists editions, creating a multi-artist portfolio that was returned to all participating artists.
With this exchange, I want to strengthen our grassroots community and introduce Kansas City to its local printmakers—a talented and diverse group who deserve attention. By exchanging work, I hope the participants gain insight and grow as artists. And I want to share the work of these amazing printmakers with patrons who will enjoy it.
It’s my first time organizing an exchange, and I’m very proud of this portfolio and this group of artists. I’m also grateful to Michelle and Angie for exhibiting the work at The Golden Stag Gallery, despite challenges and delays posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
